March 18, 2008: White KnightThis one is based on a dream I had which was part day residue, part symbolism. The dialogue translates almost directly into a conversation I had shortly before going to bed about certainty in relationships and the idea of being in love as a conscious decision rather than an uncontrollable force. The White Knight represents the person I had the conversation with.I wish I'd used some kind of reference while doing it, as I spent a lot of time just trying to figure out how things should look. Some readers noted that Cyaneus has gotten more eastern looking--or at least longer. Overall I'm happy with it. I drew the panels so large that each them of them is desktop size or larger, and the last one is actually my current desktop. |
